Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. And today we're going to be taking a look at the replacement part for your Extang tonneau cover. This is going to be a fit for the Trifecta 1.0 and also for the Emacs tonneau covers. This is that hinge that goes on our cab side of the tonneau cover, so it's going to be that one that's closest to the cab. And it has a little bit more space here than the one that goes towards the truck or the tailgate on your tonneau cover. And this will work for either side.
It does not come with any hardware so you will have to reuse the hardware that came with your original piece. But if something happened to this, got busted, or is just damaged, this will be that direct replacement from Extang.So we can take a little closer look at it, we can see we have that foam piece there to give us some protection as our tonneau cover lays over the top of our side rails. And then the two ends are going to attach actually into our tonneau cover. And then that will let us open that up and flip it over into the storage position, so we can flip that all the way up into or against the cab, and then fold it back down to cover our truck bed.So pretty easy to install, you'll just need to take out the old hardware, the bolts going through there that hold it in place, reuse those bolts to put them back in and you should be good to go there. I needed a replacement hinge for my tonneau cover. It came broken in the package. It looked like UPS dropped a brick on it. I emailed a pic to Etrailor and within minutes I had a response. They sent a new one and I had it in 2 days. Unbelievable customer service! Customer for life. PS. The part fit perfectly.
Product was excellent, however I had to return the hinges as I needed multiple parts to repair my tonneau cover and it was more cost effective to purchase a new tonneau cover.

Ordered a hinge for a trifecta bed cover. About $12 with shipping. Easy order and prompt delivery. Went to install and realized it was wrong part. Didn't realize cover had two types and I got the wrong one. Have to guess it was my fault? Called customer service and spoke with a very nice young person. This person could not find that there were two different hinges and that I could return but would need to pay for return shipping. Called Extang the OEM and they replaced for no cost including free shipping. They were able to tell me which was the correct hinge. Replaced for free with correct product. Too much to return wrong product. Don't remember being offered two options from etrailer. Thank you Carol C.
Shipping was quick, I thought the visual tracking is a nice touch and I like that it was shipped using a single shipper. None of this have one company transport it part of the way and another company transport it the rest of way.
Replacement was easy, took maybe 5 minutes. It did seem to be a tiny bit longer than the original, though the fabric on the cover could have shrank while the old hinge was broke. After replacement of the hinge the cover didn't lie flat, it had a slight upward curve that did flatten out once it was latched down. I haven't unlatched it yet to see if it lies flat now, and it doesn't look like it's negatively effecting the cover fabric.

You are the only one that came through. I lost track of how many places I placed an order. I had to follow up on each of them and finally gave up because they didn't even bother to return a reply. This particular part, fortunately, fits my american soft tri-fold topper as well as others. The part that I received fit my topper fine and is currently in service. Thank you. You saved my bacon because I was getting ready to go on a trip and needed it badly.

It is a good product but the shipping time is very long and your tracking need to be improved also I didn't find anything out until my item was shipped and that took a very long time.
Bought a used bed cover with this piece broken so I searched the number on the broken part and etrailer.com came up. Just replaced it and it's a perfect fit.
The product was exactly as described and shipped in a timely fashion. etrailer has an incredible inventory of parts and will be my first choice for future needs.
Fairly easy to install but I broke one while doing it. Im glad you sent me two. I don't know why I have had to replace two of these. I either bumped them hard taking the top off or the cold Chicago winters were rough on the plastic. I had great service and great delivery time. Very happy.
The bracket was too long in the middle so it made it hard to shut but Everything else fit good

Theres the problem. This hinge is for the cab-side which is closest to the cab...the one closest to the tailgate is item # EX1033.
