Even Brake Breakaway Switch Wiring to Transmitter

Question:

I have ordered a breakaway switch from you. I have a used Even Brake system I am installing and I see the two wires for the breakaway harness on the transmitter. Q1: There is no connector currently on the device all I see is black and white wire. Which one goes to the exposed connector on the switch and the other connector. Q2: Until my switch comes, can I connect the black/white wires together to test the rest of the unit. I do see DC voltage on both lines when testing against the ground of the power plug, which is surprising. Thx in advance.

The # RM-650898 is designed to wire to the black and white wires of the transmitter you sent in a picture of. It's odd yours had the connector cut off though. Essentially the switch connects the two wires which will activate the trailers brakes so if you touch them together now they should lock up.
