Question:

I am installing an Even Brake system in my 2019 Jeep Wrangler JL. Jeep supplies 2 fused battery connected not through the ignition switch 15 amp power sources inside the passenger compartment. I was thinking of using one for the 12 volt outlet RM-9332. I wanted to use the other to supply power to both the ICX transmitter and the stop light switch RM-751490. I would do this by connecting both the ICX power wire and the stop light switch power wires directly to the jeep supplied power wire. Do you see any problems with this approach? Thanks for you input

Thank you for your purchase from etrailer of the Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Supplemental Braking System # RM-9400 for your 2019 Jeep Wrangler. As you said, the system does require the use of both the 12 Volt Outlet Kit # RM-9332 and the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751490.

In regards to the power source, the stop light switch is meant to be run directly to the battery or a fuse block (as in the accompanying cut outs), with the ICX transmitter powered to a constant 12 volt power source like the battery as well. So you can connect the power wires to the Jeep's supplied power wires, just make sure they are a constant 12 volt power.
