Wiring Harness to Install Replacement Breakaway Switch on EvenBrake 9300 Supplemental Braking System

Question:

I bought a 2nd car kit for my 9400 Even Brake system. I am using a wireless Towmaster magnet mount light bar for turn lamps, brake lamps and running lights. I do not need the brake light wiring from the motorhome to the towed vehicle lights. I tried to setup the even brake with and remote monitor and have an error message that says cannot detect a brake light switch. Am I able to work around this or do I have to install the switch even though I am not using the taillights of the towed vehicle. I am setting up to tow a Mini Cooper. Thank you for guiding me with this.

When installing the Replacement Breakaway Switch # RM-650898 for your EvenBrake 9300 supplemental braking system you will need to use the Replacement Wiring Harness for Breakaway Switch # RM-650899. These will be the two parts you are going to need to install the switch.

You are going to need to use the breakaway switch that came with the Roadmaster Even Brake 2nd Vehicle Kit # RM-98400, even though you are not using the taillights. Installing this switch should get the error message you are receiving to go away.
