When looking to replace the leaf springs on your trailer, you will first need to find the axle capacity of the trailer. This information should be located with a plate on the axle that lists both the VIN number and its capacity. The leaf springs you choose should have a combined weight rating that comes as close as possible to the exact capacity of the axle.
Next, you will need to measure the distance from eye to eye of your existing leaf springs, and then choose a leaf spring that is just slightly shorter, around 1/2 to 3/4 inches, to compensate for the sag and wear of the existing springs. For example, the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e54SR has a spring capacity of 1,750 pounds and has a length from center eye to center eye of 25-1/8 inches.
I have attached a helpful article that reviews trailer suspension components for you below to check out. I also attached a link to a page that has all of the leaf springs we carry where you can use the filters to narrow down the results until you find the correct spring for your trailer.
We do have a couple of shock kits available, such as the Lippert # LC281255 for 2-3/8 inch axle tubes and # LC281281 for 3 inch axle tubes. I have attached video reviews of both of the kits for you to look at.
