Do Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Trailer Brakes Automatically Adjust Going Forward or in Reverse

Question:
I read on Dexters website that the Nev-R-Adjust brakes self adjust during forward movement. Ive heard a lot of people dismiss the self adjusting brakes as most require the brakes to be applied during rearward movement for the adjustment to occur, but it sounds like these take care of that concern. Is it true that they adjust during forward movement?

Expert Reply:
The Dexter Nev-R-Adjust trailer brake assembly # 23-459 and matching left hand side # 23-458 adjust automatically when traveling. It does not matter if it is forward or reverse. When traveling and using the brakes they will automatically rotate an adjuster to adjust the lining out. There is an initial adjustment you will want to do though, otherwise it can take awhile for the brakes to adjust out when new. I have linked a video that explains this for you.
