There is a brake controller port under your dash near the diagnostic port.

I recommend the P3 Brake Controller # 90195. this is one of our most popular brake controllers because it is easy to install and operate. The plug-in adapter for this brake controller is part # 3035-P. If you have a factory 7-way trailer connector at the rear of your truck, no other wiring is needed other than the brake controller and the plug-in adapter.

If your truck is not a Flareside and you do not have a trailer connector you will need part # C56031.

If you have a Flareside and do not have a trailer connector, you will need part # 118344.

You will then need part # ETBC7. This plugs into the 4-way connectors and with additional wiring gives you a 7-way trailer connector.

If you have a factory 4-way connector on your truck you will need part # 118242. This plugs into your OEM wiring and gives you a 7-way trailer connector.

When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
