Is crossbar spread measured center to center or from the back of the front bar to the front of the rear bar?

Expert Reply:
The crossbar spread often referred to with roof boxes like # TH6359B or other accessories is measured from center to center. By measuring from the center of the bar to the center of the bar you will get the crossbar spread required for a roof box. Most roof boxes will give you the minimum requirement for the box to be supported correctly and the maximum it will fit. I've attached the measurement for this roof box to assist.
