Question:
Is there an a way to have more than a 3 inch drop. My trailer tows with the hitch ball high and rear end too low. I have a very high 4 wheel drive truck and a low r pod trailer. Tows fine but I am worried about weight distribution or tearing rear end up on trailer. I have it in the 3inch drop position now. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help

There are other shanks you can use that offer more drop so you can tow the trailer level. For example shank # EQ90-02-4400 offers up to 9 inches of drop. To determine the amount of drop you will need there are a couple of measurements to take.
First, level the trailer and measure from the ground to the bottom of the coupler. On the truck measure from the ground to the top of the receiver opening. The difference will be the amount of drop you will need.
