Question:
My 2015 Subaru Outback is now set up to tow a tear, with 4-pin wiring, and I need to set it up to tow a heavy flatbed with 7-pin and electric brakes. I am thinking of the Curt Triflex, and the ETBC7 kit. Are these reasonable and sufficient choices?

Expert Reply:
You are on the right rack. The # ETBC7 comes with everything needed to convert the 4-way to a 7-way and install a brake controller.
The Curt Triflex part # C24VV is a fantastic brake controller that would work well in your 2015 Subaru Outback and would install just fine with the # ETBC7.
Check out the install video I attached that shows a controller installed in a similar Outback.
