Does Curt Trailer Wiring Harness # C55563 Need to be Grounded

Question:
A ground wire is shown in the instruction sheet but absent from the converter. Shall I assume no ground hook up is needed?

Expert Reply:
The white wires on either side of the converter box are ground wires. The ground is already in the connector that runs to the driver side taillight harness so you would not need to ground the box beyond that.

I am having the same issue. I am thinking of splicing a vehicle side ground to the white wire (to the flat 4 connector). Did you ever resolve your issue?
