For your 2016 Ford F-150 if your trailer does not have brakes all you would need is the part # 37185 as an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way.

If you do have trailer brakes you would need the # 37185 and the install harness part # 22292. If you check out the install video I attached you will see how the connections would be made.

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.

I can't recommend the # HM40975 as a fit as it would not wire up properly to your vehicle since it doesn't have the needed harness and that's not something we carry.

@DennisC Yes and it's a bummer as the company that made basically everything I mentioned went out of business. Do you have a 2016 F-150 and want a way to install a brake controller? If so, the part # RED67CR is the way to go now which includes the install harness. Then for a 4-way to 7-way adapter you would want the part # C57672.

@JamesonC I had asked if RED44UR controller would work. You recommended the RED67CR. Both show as available for immediate shipment at etrailer. Can you please explain why you recommend one over the other? I want a proportional controller which will apply the brakes based upon inertia. The 7 way adapter you recommended is not suitable because it is not plug and play. I wanted the Curt C56413 which is listed on line as available from you for immediate shipment and I can buy from others if you can not ship. I will call into the store tomorrow morning to find out what is in stock so I can decide what and who to order from. Thank you

@DennisC I didn't see where you had asked about the part # RED44UR but it does for sure fit as well. This version of the controller has a time delayed as well as a proportional brake controller whereas the part # RED67CR is just proportional. Proportional is the way to go and you wouldn't use the time-delayed setting unless
