Question:
Im a big fan of etrailer. Heres a question: I have one of your 2inch receiver hitches mounted on my 2012 Outback. Im thinking of getting a 2017 Outback Touring model. Is there any chance the old hitch would fit the new car? Thanks.

Sometimes a hitch from one vehicle will fit a newer model year. The hitch you purchased in 2012 was a Hidden Hitch model that is now discontinued, but sister-brand Draw-Tite's identical 2-inch hitch # 75673 is still an active item and is compatible with both model years.
All you need to do to install your hitch on the 2017 Outback is to order a replacement hardware kit # RHK. This kit includes all new hardware components; hitch hardware cannot be re-used.
Just enter RHK into our search box and press enter. Then select the RHK and in the fields provided put in the Draw-Tite brand and hitch number 75673.
To help your hitch re-installation I have linked both a helpful article and a step-by-step video showing a 2017 Outback.
