Question:
I am looking at buying a Curt hitch receiver from you part # C15410 and installing it on a 1999 Ford F250 Super Duty and was wondering if I would still be able to store my spare tire underneath where it has always been. My current receiver is curved around the spare and the Curt is straight across. Thanks for your help.

Helpful Expert Reply:
Curt hitch # C15410 allows reinstallation of a spare tire that is on a wheel/rim up to 20-inches in diameter. I confirmed this with my technical contact at Curt. Do please note that this 20-inch dimension refers to the wheel/rim size, not the larger overall diameter of the tire.
Some of the other hitches made for your truck, such as the 2-1/2-inch Class V Curt # C15810, do not allow a 20-inch spare to be reinstalled.
