When Curt Says a Hitch Will fit With 20 Inch Spare to They Mean Rim or Tire Diameter

Question:

When they say something like 20inch spare tire still fits they must be talking rim size right? Such as 1999 ford f350 SD with 235/75R/16 spare still stows in stock under bed location.

Yes, I checked with Curt and when they say a hitch like the part # C15410 would fit with a 20 inch spare they are referring to the rim size and not the tire size.

Your spare that is sized 235/75R/16 would work just fine.
