I really like the way it works. It took a little work to find room on the trailer frame but after moving the battery bracket it fit just fine. It might be a little overkill for my full size tent trailer, (Coleman Grandview SP) with two kings and a side slide out. But with a SUV tow vehicle the extra weight on the front axle was worth it.

So far so good. Only pulling a pop up around 2600 lbs but I noticed some sag so I thought I’d get a weight distribution hitch. Went together fairly easily though I might not have it set up perfectly. It is a bit difficult to attach the trailer without propping the hitch up due to the slight angle. I had to attach the bars the hitch it up, then go back and adjust the chain length. Also noticed a pretty good gash in the shank after our trip. Seems like too much wiggle or the shank isn’t quite the 2 inch fit. My other hitch didn’t have that issue and seemed to fit a bit tighter. I’ll have to keep an eye on that.
We use the weight distributing hitch on our 2005 Honda Odyssey while towing a 2000 Starcraft Spacemaster 2409. The pop up is on the heavier side of the van's tow capacity and was making the rear bumper sag. Initially, I had planned on installing the air bag suspension kit on the rear springs, but that is only a cosmetic solution as the rear axle would still be carrying all the weight. Ended up deciding on spending a little more and getting the weight distributing hitch instead.
Using this hitch, with the trailer attached the van (not loaded with gear or people), rides more level than it does without a trailer.
The other added benefit is that I didn't have to spend a bunch of time installing the air bags in the suspension, and I can easily transfer the hitch from one vehicle to another.
I have had my equalizing hitch for about a year now, and I have been very satisfied with this product.
My hitch arrived as scheduled and in good condition. it was fairly easy to install (though I admittedly had help from my father-in-law!), and it is simple to hook up to my camper and truck.
Prior to owning this hitch, my camper/truck would sag where they connected, and would cause extra stress on my brakes, causing the discs to overheat. My rig now sits much more evenly, and I have noticed a big difference in the amount of heat that is generated by my brakes.
I am very happy with this purchase!
Ordered over weekend and weight distribution hitch arrived today. Package in great shape now just need weather to brake in MI so I can install on our trailer. Great price and co isn't.
I've been using WD hitches for almost 20 years. The Curt WD hitch is solid, sturdy, and simple to set up. I prefer the trunnion style and use a sway brake, also. This setup has never failed, regardless of the abuse it's subjected to.
Speedy delivery...5 days. Carton was damaged but all the parts are there. I did a partial assembly until I get ready to hitch the camper and the instructions are fairly clear and straightforward. If you don't see this review edited after today you can assume the hitch was all it was advertised to be. I'm very happy so far. Only 4 stars because I haven't used it yet.
Fast shipping, great hitch, easy to install, remember to be patient when adjusting the first time. I shoulda measured for trunnion bar length before ordering. I needed the 28" not the standard 30". I've ordered from etrailer twice, and am very happy with their service. Will definitely order more in the future.
Awesome WD hitch and fits my needs perfectly. I use it to Tow a travel trailer that weighs about 4,200 lbs. and does a good job. When using a WD hitch with this type of bars, UNHOOK the bars before backing in to your campsite to keep from damaging the hitch head.
C17345. This is a terrific Weight distribution hitch that I installed on a 2010 CRV to tow a Colman popup trailer. It's about 1600 pounds unladen. The car hitch was 2" lower with the trailer jack up. It didn't take much strain on the bars at all to get the car to be level. Great price, quick delivery and very good customer service. The hitch came this afternoon and an hour later the installation was complete. It took a bit of alteration to get the jack up out of the way. I drilled a new 3/8" hole for the jack to store up out of the way. Very satisfied.
I needed weight distribution for a light weight setup. I pull a 3,500 lb. GVWR cargo trailer with a small SUV. My max load will probably be 2,500 lbs, with a tongue weight in the 350 lb. range. I wanted something to reduce bouncing, as well as distribute weight. The Curtis C17345, in conjunction with a hitch tightener really beefs up the connection between tow vehicle and trailer.
The C17345 is sized just right for a small weight distribution application.
The A frame on my wedge nose cargo trailer is not long enough to accommodate the lift brackets supplied with the weight distribution system. I purchased a set of C17005 chain hanger brackets to use in place of the lift brackets. The combination of the C17345 WD system with the C17005 brackets is an excellent fit for my application.

This stabilizer hitch solved my problems towing a 31ft travel trailer. It is a well built product and etrailer provided excellent service when I purchased it.
Put this on a 1997 GMC C1500 with original springs, pulling a heavy 18 ft tandem flatbed. It takes all the squat out of the rig when hauling a heavy or slightly nose heavy load. Fairly easy to put on first time and anytime, just had to extend my safety chains.
