do i need an additional harness to connect plug from van to this plug.2015 2500 savanna van

Helpful Expert Reply:
If your 2015 GMC Savana came with the factory tow package then # HM40975 would plug into a factory harness already present under the van. It is usually tucked up above the spare tire or in that generally area.
If that harness is not present on your van then you will need to hardwire in a trailer connector starting with # 118392 for the 4-Way. Then to add a 7-Way and retain the 4-Way I recommend # ETBC7. It also comes with the wiring and accessories to wire in a brake controller. I have included some links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation for you.
For a brake controller I recommend the P2 # 90885 because it's easy to set up and use and it's reliable.
