Curt Hitch or Draw Tite Hitch Recommendation for a 2015 Ram 1500

Question:

Hello - looking to add a front hitch to my 2015 Dodge RAM Big Horn Quad cab, 4x4, std bed mostly to put hitch type bike rack/carrier where rack is 40 lbs plus the bikes and worst case would also like to carry my generator about 100 lbs static weight on a cargo carrier. Seems like you carry both a Curt and a Draw-tite that meet the requirements, but can you tell me in more detail which would allow me to keep tow hooks not interfere with fog lights and minimal trimming of fascia/air dam. Hope that all makes some sense.

The install of the Curt Hitch # 31374 and the Draw Tite hitch part # 65062 on your 2015 Ram 1500 are going to be so similar that you really wouldn't gain much in terms of fascia trimming/modification if you went with one or the other.

The Curt Hitch # 31374 is confirmed to fit your 2015 Ram 1500 4x4. It will require the removal of the factory tow hooks, but this hitch has loops on either side of the hitch opening that could be used as tow hooks which the Draw Tite does not so I would give it the edge for your application.
