Question:
I have watched your videos on installation of the Drawtite and Curt trailer hitches on a 2017 Lincoln MKZ. The Drawtite shows that the lower body panel can be reinstalled if it is modified. The Curt video does not address the reinstall. Can the lower body panel be reinstalled with the Curt hitch if the panel is modified?

For the Curt hitch part # C12091 for your 2017 Lincoln MKZ Curt decided to recommend removal of the lower fascia instead of trimming it and reinstalling it. They don't have recommendation on how to trim the fascia to get the hitch to fit but I am sure that if you wanted to come up with a way to trim it like the Draw Tite part # 24897 I am sure you could pretty easily.
That being said I would recommend the Draw Tite over the Curt because the Draw Tite does not require the use of a stabilizer strap when you carried a non-supported load like a bike rack and because it offers a way to trim the lower fascia like you are interested in.
For trailer wiring you would want the part # C56258 which is a confirmed fit.
For a ball mount you would want the part # 3594. For a 2 inch ball mount you would want the part # 19258 and for a 1-7/8 inch ball part # 19256.
