Question:
Im considering a Blue Ox system to flat tow my 2016 Jeep Rubicon 2 dr wrangler. What Blue Ox system do you recommend. Ill be towing it with a 2016 Newmar Bay Star. Do you carry the plate that goes on to the Jeep? I have read it takes a different one for the Rubicon. Thank You...

We can help you get your 2016 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon ready for flat towing behind your Newmar Bay Star class A motorhome. Safe and legal flat towing requires a few items, all of which are detailed in the linked article. Our installers really like Blue Ox products so you're already off to a good start.
Starting with base plates for your Rubicon, if you have the standard factory bumper (with no winches or guards) then I suggest the Blue Ox # BX1126, or if you have the Rubicon Hard Rock edition the # BX1134. You can use their Alpha tow bar # BX7380 which includes the required safety cables. For a wiring/lighting kit I suggest the Hopkins custom harness # HM56200 since it does not require you to cut into your new Jeep's wiring; installation is plug-n-play. If you want a totally non-invasive install then magnetic lights are the way to go, part # RM-2120.
The Jeep also requires a braking system. The easiest set-up and operation come from Blue Ox's portable and wireless Patriot system, part # BLU37TR, with which you'll use 12V outlet kit # RM-9332. Finally, you may need a high/low hitch adapter to keep the tow bar near level when connected to the MH and toad. I linked our main page for these adapters as well as an article to help you select the right one for your vehicles.
