How do I determine the travel length required for an electric jack to be used on a travel trailer? Is 18 inch standard?

18 inches of travel for a trailer jack is typically more than needed. You would want to measure from the mounting bracket on your trailer down to the ground to determine what you would need.
The range of the # UF38-944017 is 9-1/4 inches retracted and 27-1/4 inches extended.
