Trailer Wiring Harness Fit and Installation on 2016 Toyota Tacoma

Question:

On anothe Q&A you said that 33355 is a confirmed for for the 2016 Tacoma. Where does it plug into? I bought it and the connectors behind the lights are different.

The Hopkins Wiring Harness 33355 that you referenced used to be a confirmed fit for your Tacoma, but the manufacturer made some changes to the harness and it is no longer a fit for the 2016 Toyota Tacoma.

For a trailer wiring harness that is confirmed to fit your 2016 Toyota Tacoma, you will want to use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56349. This harness will indeed plug into your Tacoma's factory wiring behind the driver and passenger side tail lights. The power wire for the converter box will need to be ran through the included in-line fuse and to the Tacoma's positive battery terminal.
