Replacement Cap for Leaky Titan Model 60 Actuator
Published 06/29/2016 >
Question:
The brake actuator was easy to put on. But the brake fluid constantly leaks out the fill cap on top. I noticed a black rubber piece floating in the reservoir. Is that piece supposed to be inside the cap, because it wont stay in the cap. It keeps falling out. Should I glue it in?

Expert Reply:
That rubber plug looking piece is not part of the cap assembly. It would not get attached to the cap.
Where exactly is the fluid leaking out of? If it's through the top of the cap it is bad and would need to be replaced with part # T4480701. If it's leaking around the threads that would indicate that the cap just may not be tightened down all the way or the o-ring is bad.
