Question:
I have a 2013 Dodge Journey that I want to wire to my utility trailer. I checked the wiring going to the tail lights and found that there are only two wires going from the front of the car to the tail lights. There are four wires for the trailer, left, right, stop and ground and only two wires on the Dodge. What can I do?

All you will need is the proper wiring harness for your 2013 Dodge Journey and you will be able to tow the trailer with the 4-Way flat connector it was. If your Journey has LED tail lights then you can use wiring harness # 118536. I have linked a video showing how it installs.
If your Journey has regular incandescent bulbs then use wiring harness # 118567.
These harnesses plug in line with the tail light connectors on your Journey and have a 4-Way flat connector that will plug into the 4-Way on the trailer to operate the brake lights, turn signals, and running lights. The black converter boxes will take the signals from the vehicle and convert them to what the trailer requires.
