Features to know about

Installs Fast Without Power Wiring: Plug-In T-One Harness

Running a new power wire to the battery takes time, but this harness skips all that. The Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector plugs into the factory tail light connectors and pulls power directly from them. That means no extra power wire to route under the vehicle. Just plug in both sides and the 4-flat is ready for your trailer lights.

Reliable Lighting Connection: 4-Flat Trailer Plug for Safe Towing

Once connected, the 4-flat trailer plug delivers the basics—running lights, brake lights, and turn signals—so your trailer stays visible and street legal. It’s a simple, proven setup that works with most small trailers and keeps things easy when you hook up for a trip.

Clean Fit with Hidden Design: Factory-Style Finish

The harness tucks neatly behind trim panels and connects through existing tail light plugs, keeping the install hidden and protected. There’s no cutting or splicing, so everything looks factory once it’s done. It’s a clean finish that won’t interfere with other wiring or body panels.

Ready for DIY Install: Straightforward Setup

Because it’s plug-and-play, you don’t need wiring experience to install it. The connectors match the vehicle’s existing plugs, so it’s easy to see exactly where everything goes. Most folks can handle the install in their driveway with basic tools and be towing the same afternoon.

by:

Again great service great website helpful videos recommended to all my friends

by:

Easy install 15 minutes and it was d one.

by:

Works perfectly only drawback wires need to be a little longer.

by:

Good product. Easy to install and the only issue I had was running the wires from one side to the other. Taking my time was about a 20 minute project.

by:

Great product! Fast Shipping! Installed complete hitch and wire set in 40 minutes. Saved me 400.00 from taking it elsewhere.

by:

by:

Completely satisfied with the product. Easy to install works great,as advertised.
Would do business with them again.
Great staff and easy to
Work with.

by:

Work exactly like the videos show very easy to install done 20 min.

by:

excellent if I can ever get it installed. The weather here in St. Louis area. If Nick as around tell him that I met his wife, Angie at the hospital yesterday, I had hip surgery and she was my nurse.

by:

Ordering was easy. Product as ordered. Order came within a week. Would recommend this company. Was told by car company is would cost about $300.00 to put harness on. It will cost approx. $45.00 to do so by using this product.

by:

It was a very nice hitch. The installation was very smooth and fit great. deleivery time exceeded my expectations, I will recommend etrailer to all my friends.

by:

I watched the video on your website and it was very simply explained. Installation was a breeze. Product was exactly as seen in video. A+ is how I rate this product.

by:

Your product is almost excellent. The drawback is that the wire going over to the left side is almost too short. And that's after I ran it along the inside seal (underneath) of the rear hatch (works really well) to shorten the distance. If I had run it under the car it would have been too short. Other than that it works really well and is an easy product to install.

by:

I purchased this trailer wiring harness for my 2010 Dodge Journey. Delivery was very quick and it was extremely easy to install, the directions clear, and it worked just as it should. A big plus is it saved me well over $100.00 as opposed to buying a "factory" harness.

by:

this product work really good. the only bad thing is. when i went to install it. the wire was on the short end to reach over to the other light. but i was able to cut a few of the zip ties and had plenty of wire then. it also was very easy to still.

by:

I called customer service & gave them the part #, and within a very short period of time the wiring harness was on its way. Received it fast & was the correct product, the install took less then 15 minutes. I will buy from & recommend etrailer.com in the future.

by:

Easy to install, The green wire (passenger side) should be a foot longer. I couldn't running it through the frame like i did the 4-wire connector. Other then that works just like it should, cant ask for more then that.

by:

E-Trailer did exactly what I had expected. They delivered a good product, at a good price, and on time. In addition to that they did something very unexpected, they provided a very well put together video that showed me how to install the kit with minimal issues, and they contacted me various times through out the ordering process to insure I received what I expected. In the future I will make it a point to insist that people contact E-Trailer for their hitch and trailer needs.

by:

wow i orderd on line 6-18 320 in the morning.got a email at 4:20 confirming order another email at 5:24 pieces available ready to ship. on same day 6-18 at 1:37 email pieces shipped. wow monday afternoon there in the mailbox.im not talking a week im talking 6-20 monday people and they are the right parts for my car.im just sorry etrailer that i orderd the things from uhaul first. the hitch from them was 5 days wiring was 7 days an was a universal wiring not a custom fit.again sorry etrailer next time i will go right to you great job thank you andy

by:

I purchased this for a 2010 Dodge Journey, and I have to say the installation was easy enough and it worked great the one and only time I had to use it. I think a little more planning on my part would have made running the wire through the bumper channel a lot simpler but I have no complaints. Definitely worth the money.

by:

Install of the lighting wiring was a breeze with this kit. Install video reflects what is required to get this installed well. Fishing the wires as shown in the video rewards you with a well protected and professional look, with nothing showing except the 4 wire connector for the trailer.

Had to remove one wire tie to lengthen the green wire running to the passenger side. Removing another would give you another 6"-8" if you routed the wire differently and needed the additional length. Connectors clicked right into the factory wiring on my 2010 Journey and felt secure.

by:

Perfect fix for my 2010 Dodge Journey R/T. Factory hook-up went bad and was too expensive for me to repair, and I only pull trailers with a 4 flat anyway so I just threw this in and it works well.

Often these DIY fixes don’t last, that is not the case for me. This product has continued to be dependable after a year of daily use! Will buy again if needed.

  • Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2013 Dodge Journey
All you will need is the proper wiring harness for your 2013 Dodge Journey and you will be able to tow the trailer with the 4-Way flat connector it was. If your Journey has LED tail lights then you can use wiring harness # 118536. I have linked a video showing how it installs. If your Journey has regular incandescent bulbs then use wiring harness # 118567. These harnesses plug in line with the tail light connectors on your Journey and have a 4-Way flat connector that will plug into the...

  • Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2013 Dodge Journey with LED Tail Lights
Since your 2013 Dodge Journey has LED tail lights you will want to use trailer wiring harness # 118536. The wiring harness that you referenced, # 118495, only fits the 2010 Dodge Journey and will not fit a 2013. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you. To answer your other question, wiring harness # C56330 installs and works the same way as # 118536. It is just a different manufacturer, Curt. If given the choice I would go with Tow Ready harness # 118536 because...

  • Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation for a 2010 Dodge Journey
For the 2010 Dodge Journey we don't offer a wiring harnesses that plug into a factory connector under the vehicle. All harnesses available for the Journey are either hardwire or T-connectors. Hardwire harnesses require splicing into the tail light wiring. T-connectors just plug in line with the tail light wiring connectors. I recommend the T-connector style, # 118495, because installation is easier and it is less invasive on the vehicle. I have included a link to the installation instructions...

  • Troubleshooting Brake Controller Installation On 2013 Dodge Journey
You will want to start from the beginning to make sure you get everything wired properly for your brake controller on your 2013 Dodge Journey. You will want to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to check the wires as you are installing the controller. I recommend installing part # ETBC7. This harness will connect to your 4-way connector for the running lights, left turn and right turn. You will then need to run the black wire from the # ETBC7 to the battery with an inline 40-amp...

  • Towing Capacity of a 2010 Dodge Journey SXT with Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch 75648 Installed
If Dodge has rated your 2010 Journey for 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight, that is the maximum the vehicle can tow, even if a trailer hitch is rated higher. The limiting factor is the component with the lowest capacity, which is the rating you need to go by. Unfortunately adding a weight distribution system wouldn't increase the towing capacity of the vehicle. The towing capacity of the vehicle remains static at 3,500 pounds. To complete your towing setup you may need the following: Ball...

You can see the video of this installation on a 2010 with dual exhaust attached. This will allow you to tow but will also allow you to utilize hitch mounted accessories like a bike rack or cargo carrier. • Hitch and Wiring Harness for 2010 Dodge Journey
The towing capacity of the vehicle itself is based off of the engine and transmission and a number of other factors and not simply just the trailer hitch. Since your Dodge Journey did not come equipped with the factory towing package you should stay under the towing capacity and tongue weight recommendations in the owner's manual for the 3.5 liter engine without towing package. This is the capacity of the Journey as determined by Dodge and unfortunately it cannot be increased by adding...

The correct wiring harness for the 2011 Dodge Journey is the Tow Ready Wiring Harness, part # 118536. This harness is needed because the 2011 model uses LED tail lights. This harness is a universal application, so I have linked the installation instructions below, and I will also describe how to wire the harness to your vehicle. I did some checking and Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75648 does not indicate that any fascia trimming is required to install it on a 2010 Dodge Journey RT. The hitch is listed as a fit for all models of the 2010 Dodge Journey. We have also not heard any customer complaints about rear fascia trimming on RT or any models. • Recommendation for Trailer Wiring Harness on 2011 Dodge Journey
On a 2011 Dodge Journey the hitch wiring does not run to the rear of the vehicle, and the vehicles wiring is not designed to handle the draw of the trailer lights when using a T-One wiring harness that will just plug into the vehicles taillights. The 2010 model does not require the use of a powered converter as it uses a 2 wire system. The T-One Connector with Upgraded Circuit Protected ModuLite, # 118474, is for a 2009 model.
