Question:
What is the height of the hitch from the top of the bracket to the bottom of the receiver? I need it to fit in an opening that starts at 3inch from the frame and stops at 7inch from the frame.

Expert Reply:
Draw-Tite custom-fit Class V hitch # 41947, which fits trucks with an outside-to-outside frame width of 34-inches, can be installed at any of three heights, thanks to the multiple holes in the two frame brackets.
I can give you these heights referenced to the bottom of the frame rails. The TOP of the receiver tube will sit below the bottom of the frame any of these three distances: 6-5/8-inches, 8-1/4-inches or 10-1/4-inches. The written instructions are linked for you; these list the tools required for installation.
