What is the Width of the Horizontal Plates That Mount to the Vehicle Frame on the Draw-Tite 41947

Question:

Thank you for your response. I was also curious what the width was in total and the upper horizontal plates on the the vertical side mounts. IE what would be the width if the plates were flipped 180 to make this wider? I am not seeking suggestions or anything for safe application or usage just simple dimensions of the side plates were switched.

The horizontal mounting plate that mounts to the frame of your vehicle on the # 41947 is 2-13/16" wide and the mounting plates themselves are 11-9/16" tall. The holes on the horizontal mounting plates are 3/4" and 1-1/4" in diameter.

Since the cross tube is 30-1/2" long, if the plates were flipped the total distance would be 33-5/16" from the edge of one plate to the edge of the other.
