Would the Curt Hitch part # C15845 Fit a 2000 Ford F-350 Cab and Chassis and Clear Fuel Tank

Question:

I have a 2000 Ford F350 Super Duty XLT with a utility box on it. My frame is 34inch outside edge to edge. My fuel tank is located at the rear of the truck between the rails. Will a C15845 accommodate the fuel tank location? I have searched for a schematic for the different hitches so I could determine myself but have been unable to find.

Since your truck's frame is 34 inches from outside to outside it was definitely a cab and chassis truck at the beginning of it's life which is what the Curt hitch part # C15845 was designed to fit.

From the top of the receiver crosstube of this hitch to where it would mount on the bottom of the truck frame this hitch measures 6 inches. See attached picture. With that info you should be able to determine if the hitch would clear the fuel tank.
