Question:
I an interested in the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller for a 2013 Honda Pilot. I have previously installed a T1 wiring harness to the factory tow package. question is what other components will I need to install the Prodigy? Will I need to run wires to the back of the vehicle? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

The Prodigy P2 # 90885 is an excellent choice, being one of our most popular and easy to use brake controllers of all time. To install the brake controller, first look under the dash under the steering column over the brake pedal as shown in the diagram and photo I've provided. If you can find the brake controller install connector, your install will be super easy. You'll need the brake controller wiring adapter harness, part # 3070-P and the trailer connector assembly, part # 118265.
If you can't find the brake control connector, the installation will be a bit more involved, but certainly still doable. You'll need our Brake Controller Installation Kit, part # ETBC7. The ETBC7 king includes everything needed to install a brake controller, including the adapter that would convert the 4-pole trailer connector you've recently installed to a 7-way. The kit also includes all the wire, hardware, circuit breakers and zip ties you'll need to complete the installation.
You will need to run the wire included in the kit from the 7-way to the front of the vehicle, and I'll link you to an install video and the instructions that will walk you through the process.
