On the Curt # C11720, for the 1996 Ford Probe the mounting hardware is included. It does not come with any wiring. The wiring harness you would need is the Wiring, # C59496. You also need the ball mount # C45521 and pin and clip # F-4.
The hitch ball you will need will depend on the trailer coupler size you will be towing. The most common size hitch ball is the 2 inch ball. For the 2 inch ball you will need the Tow Ready 2 Inch Hitch Ball, # 19258. If you have a 1-7/8 inch ball then you will need the Tow Ready 1-7/8 Inch Hitch Ball, # 19256.
You will want to check the owners manual or the car dealer for the maximum towing capacity of your 1996 Ford Probe to make sure that your vehicle will be able to handle the capacities of the hitch you will be installing.
Please note that for all non-trailering loads an auxillary support strap is required to be used like # 18050
