Can you tell me the diameter and thread size of the stud? For example, is it 5/16inch diameter x 18 threads per inch? Thanks!

I called my contact at Surco and they told me the Replacement Bolt & Locking Knob, part # SPN-104 is a 3/8 inch diameter bolt and it has 16 threads per inch.

This is a replacement knob for a Surco Bike Rack, 51953.

Yes the thread size of the knob part #TH79JV is M8 so it is perfectly compatible with the T-bolt part #853-0782 that you referenced.
