Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this replacement Locking Knob for the SportRack Bike Racks. Now this part here will replace the locking knob on your SportRack Bike Rack. It does fit the SportRack Bike Rack model numbers SR203, SR2704, and the SR2813. Now this will also require a five 16ths by 18 size bolt for installation.
That bolt we do sell separately on our website. It goes by part number of 050046. This part here includes one locking knob and two double cut keys. And the keys are double cut, which means they can insert in either direction. So you can put them in this way to open or close it, or you can flip it over and it'll go in that way.
So it'll go in either way. But that should do it for the review on the replacement Locking Knob for your SportRack Bike Racks.
product is good it will replace my other part item number was 05-0205-00 , the other product the locking knob does not fit the screws I have on my rack which is odd seeing it is for a sports rack bike rack and that is what I have. so I am checking to see if I can get screws that it will fit otherwise I do plan on returning this product, however it is no fault of etrailer. Etrailer was excellent so far . I had sent a picture of the product I needed and they sent me the item number they thought would work this being the top plate. and the delivery came earlier than they said it would 2 thumbs up to the staff and this company
The product was a replacement part for lost bike rack part and it works as required.
I got this product originally because i bought a Generic roof rack with unlockable knobs for my car. I ordered one because i wasn't sure if it would fit the original screw and if the threads in the know were made of plastic.
The threads in the knob are reinforced metal (that was a plus!!)
It did not fit the original screw but thankfully this was a quick fix at the hardware store, i replaced the screws to fit this knob.
PERFECT! now i can buy 3 more to secure my roof rack. Hopefully i can order the same knob to use with one set of keys.
