What is the Purpose of the 12 Volt Accessory Circuit on Trailer 7-Way

96 Chevy Silverado 2500 4x4. Where is the wire going to on the trailer plug that is coming from the 40 amp breaker at the top of the diagram? Thank you

You are referring to the 12 volt accessory circuit on the 7-way in the picture. This is the circuit in the 1:00 position of the 7-way as you are looking into the socket from the front. For the install of a brake controller this circuit is not required but it is used for maintenance charging trailer batteries and powering utility lights as well.
