Question:
If I have dexter axles, do I have to use OEM dexter brake kits when replacing my brakes?
asked by: Milton
Expert Reply:
No, you don't have to use Dexter brakes with your Dexter axles. There are some brake assemblies that are unique though that fit other axles so you would still need to look closely at the descriptions to determine if a given brake assembly has a special application or not.
For example a 7K etrailer assembly # AKEBRK-6L would fit in place of a 6K Dexter assembly # 23-106. If it were me I would go with the etrailer brakes because they are a fantastic value.
