Can Manual Crank Vents In Motorhome Be Converted To Powered Vents
Updated 09/21/2015 | Published 09/19/2015 >
Question:
I currently have two manual crank-up style roof vents in my motor-home and both have the enclosed wind deflector mounted over them on the roof. I dont want to remove all that stuff already mounted up there, I just want to retrofit a new 12vdc fan somehow on the inside of the rv to remove hot air thru the existing vent hole.

In order to convert your manual operated vents in your motorhome, and the brackets and hardware that would allow you to convert their vents is very limited. We do not currently carry those parts in stock so I would need the make and model of your vents to try and locate parts that would work.
You may be better off replacing a vent with a vent that has a motor already included like part # V2094SP-30. This is a 14-1/2 x 14-1/2 inch fan with a 12 V motor and white lid. The on/off switch is included and mounted on the vent.
