For your 2006 GMC Yukon XL you would want to first start with a base plate kit. I really like the Demco setups so you would want the part # DM9518077.

For a tow bar you would want the Demco Dominator # DM9511008. It has plenty of capaity for the Yukon XL and includes safety cables.

For lighting you want the part # HM56101. This kit is custom fit for your vehicle and won't require any cutting or splicing to activate your vehicle taillights.

And finally, most states now require supplemental braking in the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to use is the Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251. The install is more involved than portable systems but once that's over with you just flip a switch to get it ready to tow.
