Thank you for your reply and the useful information, I want to buy 2 hitches, one for the 2015 Prius Plugin and one for my wife's 2013 Prius (non-plugin). Would you recommend getting the same Curt C11276 for both cars, or the Draw-Tite for the 2013 Prius. I will be using the hitch for attaching a Kuat Sherpa bicycle rack.

We have one trailer hitch that is designed to work with the 2015 Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid. That trailer hitch is the Curt Hitch, part # C11276. This is a Class l hitch and it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening.

All non-trailer loads - bike racks, cargo carriers and so forth - should be supported with stabilizing straps, like part # 18050. Failure to properly support these loads will void your hitch warranty from Curt.

The Draw-Tite hitch, part # 60263 is designed to fit the Prius and Prius V models and will not work with the Plug-In Hybrid.

Since Draw-Tite does not require the stabilizing straps with their hitches, I recommend it versus the Curt hitch for your 2013 Prius. If the 2013 is a Prius or Prius V, I recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, part # 24847. This is a Class l hitch and has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. I have attached a link to an installation video for this hitch on a 2013 Prius you can check out. If the 2013 is a Prius C model, the hitch I recommend is the Draw-Tite hitch, part # 24967. This is also a Class l hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. The Kuat Sherpa 2.0, part # SH12G bike carrier will work great with either of these hitches on the back of your Prius.
