Placement of Rear Jacks in Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System
Updated 08/03/2015 | Published 08/01/2015 >
Question:
I have a 32foot rig that has a 6inch I-beam frame with the entrance door behind the real tires. Installation of the rear jacks would likely need to be 3foot or 4foot behind the rear tires rather than the 1foot indicated in the install instructions. As a result, knowing how far below the frame the retracted jack hangs below the frame is critical. I do see in description that the jack travel is 12.5 so Im assuming the top of the jack motor to the retracted jack pad must be at least a few inches more than the travel. Thanks

For the rear jacks in Lippert Ground Control 3.0 # LC358590 the bracket the jacks attach to have multiple holes and you will need to mount them so that when fully retracted the jacks have 7 to 9 inches clearance from the bottom of the foot to the ground. Overall height when retracted is closer to 24 inches.
