Hi - I have a 2014 Glk 250 and need to switch out the factory installed class 2 hitch to a class 3 hitch 1.5inch to 2inch receiver. Any advice on removing the the class 2?

We do offer a 2-inch Class III hitch for your 2014 Mercedes-Benz GLK-250, Curt part # C13155 that you referenced.
Your existing 1-1/4-inch Class II hitch, if it was indeed factory-installed rather than dealer-installed, could have been welded or riveted in place. If it was dealer-installed it is more likely that it was a bolt-on item like the Class III Curt hitch. Take a look at the attachment points to see the method of installation.
If riveted or welded in place you'll need to find a technician who can remove it. If its bolted in place you should not have major issues removing it; you will just need to temporarily lower the exhaust (as you will when you install the Curt # C13155) for better access to the mounting points.
Written instructions for the Curt hitch are included for you.
