Question:
I have a 2011 Honda Pilot. I received the kit from you and starting to hook it. i went through steps 1-4 not problem. When I got to underneath my bumper to connect the wires I got from you to the one from the vehicle I ran into a problem. I could not get the piece of plastic off the wires from my Pilot. The plastic appears to have melted from the muffler and I cannot separate what I need to so I can connect the wires. Just wonder if you had any suggestions

From your picture it looks like the damage is only on that one side so you should still be able to pull the cap off and finish the installation of harness # C56365.
There is a little tab right above the white, red, and green wires in your picture that you will need to push down on at the end while pulling the cap off at the same time.
The other option is that you would have to cut off the vehicle end connector and the mating connector on the harness and splice the wires together by function. You would need a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 to determine each wire function on the vehicle side. But it looks like the vehicle side connector is using green for running lights, red for left turn/brake lights, white or possibly brown for right turn and brake lights, and black for ground.
On the Curt harness, white is ground, green is right turn and brake lights, yellow is left turn and brake lights, and brown is running lights.
