To find out if your 2010 Honda Pilot came with a tow package from the factory, the most certain way is to have a dealer run the VIN. There are some tell tale signs, however, that may lead you in the right direction. If the Pilot has a functioning 7-Way trailer connector, you probably have a tow package.
If you do not have the 7-Way plug at the rear of the vehicle, you will need the Honda Pilot Replacement OEM Tow Package Wiring (7-Way) with Circuit Protected ModuLite HD Module, # 118253 that you have referenced. This harness will plug into a connector under the rear bumper of the vehicle. The connector you are looking for has about a 1 inch square end.
You also need to install the included converter in a cargo area storage compartment in the rear of the vehicle. This kit also comes with the necessary relays and fuses that install in the fuse panel located in the cargo area the fuse panel under hood.
If you do not have the factory connector under the rear bumper, you will instead use Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, # 118491. This kit also comes with the necessary fuses and relays you will need for the harness to function properly. This connector plugs in line with your vehicles taillights. This harness will provide you with a 4-pole trailer connection at the rear of the vehicle.
If you are still not sure if you have a factory tow package, you can call your local Honda dealer and have them run the VIN on your 2010 Honda Pilot. They should be able to give you a definitive answer with this information.
You can view the installation instructions for each of the wiring harnesses at the links provided.
