Should There be a Hole in the Dutton Lainson Jack part # DL22800
Updated 04/06/2015 | Published 04/05/2015 >
Question:
I received my DL22800 tongue jack. I noticed a hole in the side near the upper gear and handle. I would think this will get sand, water, and other dirt inside and reduce the life of the jack, or at least require more maintenance. Should this jack have come with a cover over this hole? Expert Reply:
The hole you have on your Dutton Lainson Jack part # DL22800 is not designed to be covered. If you really wanted to cover that hole you certainly could although you would be fine leaving it uncovered as well.
