How is the quick way to know if it came with already installed ?dont know which kit to buy? Thanks

The quickest way would be to call the service department at your Toyota dealer. If you provide your VIN, they should be able to look up your vehicle and determine if it's equipped with the tow wiring package.
You can also check the fuse box as shown at the 4:00 minute mark of the video I've linked. If there's a fuse already installed, then you have the tow package and would use the # 56042 harness. If there's no fuse in place, you'll need the converter and the harness, part # C56217.
Toyota typically won't install the trailer connector portion without the converter, so if your Highlander doesn't already have the trailer connector, it's pretty likely you'll need the # C56217.
