How to Identify if a Truck has Reese Elite or Signature Series Rail Kit Installed

Updated 03/17/2025 | Published 03/15/2015

Question:

Hello, I have a 2008 F350 that I believe may have had this system and was removed. I have four larger holes in the truck bed. Can anyone tell me the measurements between the holes? I would like to see what the measurements are before I purchase this system. thanks.

Check out the picture I attached that shows the dimensions of what Reese Elite or Signature Series pucks would be in the bed of a truck like yours.

If you measure the center to center distance of the pucks, and they come out to be 13 by 30 inches, they are Reese Elite rails that would be compatible with the Reese M5 20K hitch # RP30921 or the 27K model, part # RP30922. If you wished to use a different hitch that's compatible with industry standard bed rails, an adapter is available, part # RP30156. The adapter would secure to the pucks, then the hitch would install, using the adapter as bed rails.

I just bought a Reese 24k signature hitch and the guy said he had the rails for it. Come to find out he bought the wrong rails. He bought the rails from you guys and they are the BWRVK2402. Is there away to either change the legs or make these work with rail systems?

@KenM We have some of the Elite rail kits available but I would need to know the year/make/model of your truck to see if we have a fit for your truck.
