Can You Use The Demco Hijacker With The Curt Turning Point Pin Box?

Question:

I have a Demco 18k auto slider 6077. What do I need to hookup to a curt turning point? The nose of the front of the pin is only 7 1/4 “. The side bars on the Demco will not close that far and it is tapered.

By themselves, the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550022 and the Curt Turning Point are not compatible together, however there is a way to get these two to work with each other.

What you can do is lock out the Turning Point pin box so that it cannot rotate essentially turning it into a standard pin box.

This will allow you to use the Hijacker with your current Turning Point pin box. I have also attached an image showing how you can lock out the pin box as well.
