Purpose of Short Safety Cables that Come with Roadmaster Base Plate Kits
Published 03/06/2015 >
Question:
Regarding the 8inch safety cables that came with with my RM 920-1 base plate....what should they connect to on the other end? The cross-bar connected to the disconnect fittings, or to something on my RM Falcon All-Terrain towbar itself? Looks like Id need more carabiner type fittings, unless the cable is supposed to just have one of the many pins in the system pass through its loop! Thanks.

The short safety cables that come with the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit # 920-1 that you referenced attach the loops right at the opening of the base plate where the arms slide in. They then attach from there to the vehicle frame anywhere that is convenient.
