Im sure this is a dumb question and I have a dexter axle is this a replacement for the dexter shoe and Lining brake# K 71-47-00 if so what is the self a lining replacement

I spoke with my contact at Dexter and the 10" Electric Trailer Brake Assembly, # 23-26, can replace a hub which uses part K71-047-00 is for manual adjust shoes.

In order to replace manual adjust shoes with the self-aligning, you would instead need to replace the brake assemblies. For this you will need, 10" Nev-R-Adjust Left Hand Electric Brake Assembly, # 23-468 and 10" Nev-R-Adjust Right Hand Electric Brake Assembly, # 23-469.

We do offer another brand that is also compatible with your Dexter axle, and those self-adjusting brake assemblies are # AKEBRK-35R-SA for the right and # AKEBRK-35L-SA for the left hand side.

Hey Wes, yes the Terran hub/drum part #TX68VJ that you referenced will replace the Dexter drums you mentioned as based on that you have a 3,500 lb axle like what this kit is designed to fit. Do you need brake assemblies as well?
