I just purchased the Thule cargo transporter for my Cadillac SRX and it sticks out to the rear further than expected. To my surprise I can not use my backup camera for backing up with the carrier installed. Do you know of a safe way to see whats behind this blind area while the carrier is installed in the rear. Not opposed to a trailer cam but where would it mount? Any suggestion

Thank you for providing the photo of your 2015 Cadillac SRX and your hitch-mount Thule Transporter Enclosed Cargo Carrier # TH665C.
This large-capacity cargo carrier will indeed block most OEM cameras that are installed near the rear license plate. But we do offer aftermarket camera systems that will mount high enough on the vehicle's rear to still provide improved visibility.
Swift Hitch offers their Wireless Camera System with Night Vision, part # 04928. I recommend this system since it features a magnetic base for mounting the camera that requires no permanent alterations to your SRX. An optional suction-cup-mount is offered as well, part # PM01. The system includes a color LCD monitor, all required batteries and cables, and provides automatic infrared night vision capability. I have linked a video for your reference.
