Expert Reply:
Trailer brake controllers like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 are not vehicle-specific so you absolutely can use this excellent Tekonsha controller in the 2014 Q5.
This application will require a brake controller installation kit, part # ETBC7, which includes the wiring, trailer connector and all the other items you need.
The Q5 needs to have a working 4-pole trailer connector in place in order to install the ETBC7 kit. If it does not have one, you will also need wiring harness # 41155 which plugs into the Q5's tow package wiring.
A review video for the controller and all written instructions are linked for you along with an article covering the hard-wire controller installation process.
