Since you mention that you have a single function light like the LED Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Light, # MCL45RB, this will act solely as a brake light/turn signal, clearance or running light. If this light's purpose is to act as a running light and set up with power in left corner and ground in right corner, you will connect the brown wire in the left hand corner and the white wire in the right corner.
Using this type of light you will still need a separate light for your left and right turn signals. This means you will have two separate lights on each side of the trailer, one for the left turn signal and one for the left side running light, one for the right turn signal and one for the right side running light.
A dual function light like the Optronics ONE Series LED 5-Function Tail Light, # STL008RB, has a power location/wire for each wire, one for green/yellow, white, and brown. This light would also have two different bulbs or a dual filament bulb to operate the multiple functions.
